- First hand
- second hand
- third hand
According to my health.com second hand smoke is side stream and main stream. Side stream smoke is the smoke that originates from the blazing end of a cigarette and main stream smoke is the smoke breathed out by the smoker. Side stream smoke makes up about 85% of second-hand smoke. why it that? I think because they only inhale 15% and blow the rest out into the air which lead to third hand smoke.
I believe that third hand smoke is the most dangerous because the residue stay in the carpet, couches, beds, and other furniture.
according to my health.com Third-hand smoke is made up of the residue and gases of tobacco smoke it includes
- includes the gases that go back into the air
- stays on surfaces and in dust after the tobacco has been smoked
- builds up on surfaces, furniture, clothing, drapes, and carpets
- reacts with other elements in the environment to make more pollution
- Stop smoking
- If you want to smoke don't harm other smoke outside to reduce third hand and second hand smoke
- Support smoke free

I enjoyed your post because many people realize that smoking is bad, but not everyone realizes that secondhand and thirdhand smoke is a thing. People may know about secondhand smoke, but I know so many people who think it's not a real thing. In your post, you have proven that it is a thing. I also think people don't realize how harmful thirdhand smoke is. I remember going apartment hunting with my sister and smelling the awful smoke smell because it would linger in the walls and floors because the previous renters were huge smokers. I don't smoke, and I never will, and awareness posts such as this one make make me even more passionate about never partaking in smoking.
ReplyDeleteSmoking is very dangerous and can cause many illnesses. I really like how you chose to organize your blog and your background picture as well. I also really enjoy how to chose to provide tips on how we can try to stop smoking and reduce the risk of third and second hand smoking. I personally don't know much about smoking because I've never tried nor have I ever lived with someone who does smoke so this blog was very informative for me. I've heard of the terms second and third had smoke but it was nice being able to receive more information with examples and facts included. Great post!
ReplyDeleteBefore reading, I was actually completely unaware third hand smoking was even a thing. Everyone generally thinks about first and secondhand smoking, never thirdhand. I agree with you that it is probably the most dangerous considering it lingers around much more often the two other types. Great information in this post!
ReplyDeleteGreat topic, although I suggest you read over your blog for grammatical errors. Great information, would like to see more pictures like the last post to get a better image of the facts brought up in your post. Great work, keep it up.
ReplyDeleteIt's awesome that you interviewed someone who smokes for your topic. That was a really unique touch. I use to smoke and since I've stopped I definitely have felt better about my body and I can actually run without being out of breath!
